Shot in Medellín, LAKRAS’s latest visual drop transforms the car wash into a world of desire, vulnerability, chaos, and becoming.
MEDELLÍN, COLOMBIA — May 2026 — Independent fashion project LAKRAS unveils DIRTY, its latest drop and accompanying photo story created in collaboration with Softcore.
Part car-wash fantasy, part fashion editorial, and part confession, DIRTY plays with the idea of feeling “dirty” outside the familiar language of perfectly controlled sex appeal. Instead, the project leans into something more complicated: mess, humor, vulnerability, drama, desire, and the freedom of briefly becoming another version of yourself.
Created by LAKRAS founder and creative director María Alejandra Caicedo “Alek” alongside Pamela Rodriguez of Softcore, the story moves through a heightened Medellín fantasy populated by girls, cars, wet hair, dolls, water, and chaos. The result exists somewhere between the sacred and
the impure-seductive, but never overly polished or easy to define.
Medellín functions as more than the project’s setting. Its visual language, contradictions, and intensity shape the atmosphere of DIRTY, grounding its
fantasy in a city that feels simultaneously intimate, theatrical, and alive.
“With DIRTY, I wanted to play with the parts of femininity that aren’t neat or easy to explain. It’s sexy, but it’s also funny, vulnerable, dramatic, and a little uncomfortable. That contradiction felt more honest to me.” — María Alejandra “Alek” Caicedo, founder and creative director of LAKRAS
The collaboration brings together LAKRAS’s approach to fashion as storytelling with Softcore’s visual world-building, creating a project in which clothing becomes part of a larger emotional and cinematic universe.
DIRTY is available now through LAKRAS retail site. The complete editorial is currently available for exclusive publication and first-look consideration.
