SOFIA CALZETTI INTERVIEW

You were born in Argentina. What are your memories of your childhood, and when did your desire to be an influencer arise?

Growing up in Argentina, I was surrounded by a very creative family that influenced me deeply from a young age. My grandfather, who was a photographer for over 30 years, and my dad, an architect, played significant roles in shaping my understanding of visual expression. I remember how my grandfather would take countless photos of me and even create handmade portraits. These experiences made me realize the power of photography in telling a life story. My childhood was filled with music, drawing, dancing, and even designing clothes for my dolls. While I didn’t have a clear desire to be an influencer as a child, I always loved posing for my grandpa and expressing myself creatively. It wasn’t until later that I recognized influencing as a natural extension of that creative expression.

Influencing may appear wonderful, but few truly understand its essence. What aspect of influencing do you like the most?

Influencing is much more than what meets the eye; it’s truly a lifestyle. What I love most about influencing is the ability to bring visions to life, to convey emotions and stories through a combination of movement and expressions. It’s about delivering fashion and lifestyle content in the most creative ways. I also love the adventures that come with it—traveling, exploring new places, and continuously learning from the incredible people I get to work with. Influencing allows me to express different aspects of myself and be part of a collaborative artistic process, which is incredibly fulfilling.

When it comes to shootings or castings, how do you psych yourself up mentally? Are there any strategies you find helpful?

Before shootings or castings, I focus on bringing positive energy and enjoying the process. I mentally prepare by reminding myself that each casting or shoot is a step forward, regardless of the outcome. I believe that every experience, whether successful or not, offers something valuable to learn. Positive thinking and maintaining a mindset of growth and opportunity help me stay motivated and ready to give my best.

Today, influencing and social networks hold great significance. How do you navigate this aspect? Do you believe that being an influencer also entails being a content creator in today’s world?

Social networks are a powerful tool for communication, but I’m very mindful about maintaining boundaries and taking time to unplug when needed. With so much content out there, it’s important to manage what we consume and create. In today’s world, being an influencer often goes hand in hand with being a content creator. For me, influencing is a natural way to create and share content that reflects my life and experiences. I enjoy sharing moments in a way that can inspire or benefit others, but I always prioritize authenticity and staying true to myself.

What recommendations would you give to someone who wants to start a career as an influencer?

For anyone looking to start a career as an influencer, I believe that building the right connections is key. It’s important to work with people and brands that align with who you are and what you stand for. Never force anything—let things unfold naturally as you grow and evolve. Being patient and true to yourself will help you find the right opportunities at the right time.

Based on your journey, what would you say are five essential qualities for a successful influencer?

The five essential qualities for a successful influencer are discipline, perseverance, hard work, creativity, and above all, having fun. Influencing is demanding, but it’s important to enjoy the journey and embrace every opportunity with passion.

What is your beauty routine like?

My beauty routine is all about balance and care. I focus on movement, hydration, and incorporating superfoods into my diet. Skincare is also crucial, so I regularly indulge in facial treatments, massages, sauna sessions, and cold plunges. These practices help me feel my best, both inside and out.

When you have free time outside of work commitments, how do you usually spend it?

When I have free time, I love spending it with friends and family, enjoying good conversations and cooking for them. I also cherish my “me time,” where I focus on exercising, reading, and exploring new local spots. It’s important for me to stay grounded and connected to the simple joys in life.

Balancing a hectic schedule filled with work, how do you manage to maintain equilibrium between work and your personal life?

I thrive on being busy, but I make sure to find moments of balance. I enjoy simple pleasures like watching a good movie, having a picnic outdoors, or spending time in nature. These activities help me recharge and maintain equilibrium between my work and personal life. It’s all about finding joy in the little things and making time for what truly matters.

How did your studies in musical comedy shape your approach to influencing?

Studying musical comedy at Reina Reech’s school gave me a strong foundation in performance and expression. It taught me how to convey emotions through movement, timing, and presence, which are all crucial skills in influencing. This background allows me to approach content creation with a deeper understanding of how to embody different roles and moods. In the digital space, it helps me create content that is engaging and dynamic, allowing me to connect with my audience on a more personal level.

What has been your favorite collaboration so far, and what made it special for you?

One of my favorite collaborations was with Swarovski. The brand’s philosophy of self-expression and individuality really resonated with me. I loved how they allowed me to be creative with the jewelry, styling it in ways that felt true to my personal aesthetic. The collaboration was special because it was more than just a promotional partnership—it was an opportunity to tell a story and share something meaningful with my followers. Working with a brand that shares my values made the experience truly rewarding.

How do you balance your interest in fashion and performance with the demands of being a social media influencer?

Balancing these interests comes naturally to me because they are all interconnected. Fashion and performance are integral to my identity as an influencer. I find that my passion for these fields fuels my creativity on social media, allowing me to produce content that’s both stylish and engaging. The key is to stay organized and prioritize tasks, ensuring that I devote time to each aspect of my career while still allowing room for spontaneity and inspiration.
